The sander features motor with variable speed 10000-23000 RPM with electronic feedback. Motor transitions quickly between the fixed base (#8901), plunge base (#8931) and traditional 690 Series spiral down bases. The Porter-Cable 894PK has handle-access, dual-position on/off switch with automatic bit-changing lock-off. Macro-height lever for coarse adjustments and tool-less motor release. Fine depth settings to 1/128 inch with micro-adjustment knob.
