The Porter-Cable 690LRVS is a 1-3/4 Peak HP Variable-Speed Router. The 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch self-releasing collets are very important when bit changes are necessary. The 11 Amps, all aluminum motor housing and base on the Porter-Cable 690LRVS ensure cool running even with large diameter bits. The electronic variable speed switch allows to fine tune the revolutions per minute from 10000-27000 RPM. The speed can be adjusted to match the size of the bit and the hardness of the wood to eliminate burning and chattering. The Under table stop prevents motor from inadvertently rotating out of base.
