The Porter-Cable 54747 is a 7 inch Hook & Loop Backing Pad for 7428 Polisher. The hook and loop surface of a back-up pad wears from normal use which decreases its holding power. Hence the pad needs to be replaced when it becomes worn to keep the polisher running at its peak. The backing pad can be mounted easily using the built in mounting thread.
