without a doubt the best power tool deal I've ever had, not to mention Toolking which is an A+++ (Posted on 8/23/10)

I have used this sander for three weeks now and it does not disappoint. I used it to flatten out glued up oak boards. Wow! Much better than my 35 year old craftsman. Before you start laughing, Craftsman tools were made good in the old days. (Now they are kind of junky)
Very easy to change belts and adjust the tracking. It stays that way also. The belt does not wander around. When the dust bag is empty it does a commendable job removing the sanding dust but this is a tool that should be used outside.
The only downside so far is the weight of the unit. I used to be able to hold my old sander with one hand while sanding on edge, not this beast. But I am also getting older, so I shouldn't be doing that anyway. On flat surfaces this is not a problem (Posted on 2/13/11)

porter cable has always produced great equipment. Toolking's reconditioned tool area had great prices, This belt sander is heavy so you can use the weight of the tool to do the work. The design seems similar to their standard design look and feel. I have already used it to sand the top of my table saw. it did a great job of removing a light coating of rust and helping to smooth out the metal. My saw is the original delta unisaw. This sander has power to spare. The weight is heavy enough that I don't have to lean on it. (Posted on 9/7/11)
