The Makita BDF452HW is an 18V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2 inch Driver Drill Kit. The BDF452 utilizes a powerful Makita-built, 4-pole maximum torque motor delivers 450 in-lbs of efficient torque in a compact size. At only 8 inches  long and weighing a scant 3.5lbs, the compact design of the BDF452HW allows you to work longer with reduced operator fatigue. The Makita BDF452HW is powered by Makitas LXT Lithium-Ion battery system, youll notice longer run time, 5x lower self-discharge (for use any time) & 16 firm holding contact terminals (for constant high power). Included with the BDF452HW kit is a 15-minute rapid Optimum Charger. This charger constantly communicates with the battery throughout the charging process using the built-in chip in the battery and built-in CPU chip in the charger.
