Whenever I am looking for a new tool of any kind, I always check the sales on factory reconditioned tools first. I have several of the reconditioned tools and I feel that with the same warranty as a new tool there is only an upside to the purchase.
The Makita LS1016L lives up to Fine Woodworking Best Tool award in their recent issue. And the icing on the cake is the deep discounted price and Toolking's customer service.
So would I have purchased the LS1016L if it were not on sale as a reconditioned tool. Yes.

Aloha, these people are on it! I have dealt with a lot of on line sales co. This is the best one so far. As far as the saw goes, Makita listened to the users of their last designs, which was a bad design. It did the job, but it just wasnt an operator friendly saw. They have fixed the short falls and made improvements on top of that.. thank you, kevin (Posted on 7/16/11)
