I was a little leery about a 120 volt welder. I have borrowed one (different brand) from a friend of mine and it was tough to weld with. But since I was only going to be doing light gauge, auto body type welding I thought I would give this one a try. This thing welds great, just set the dial and pull the trigger. Even though it was reconditioned I couldn't find a scratch on it, looks new to me and it has a full warranty. What more do you want for this price! (Posted on 3/18/11)

I bought one of these reconditioned in January and it has served me well. I use it at home and have already gone through about 3 lbs. or 0.030 wire. I have been welding #8 square cut concrete nails for religious artwork. Recently I made a nutcracker for macadamia nuts using 3/16" x 3/4" stock, 5/8" x 5/8" stock, and 5/16" rod. I preheated some of the heavier welds with a MAPP gas home hobbyist torch. I got better welds from a small machine than I could ever have expected. Unless you need gas shielding, this is a good machine to consider. I have never regretted buying mine. (Posted on 10/18/10)

Most of the time I weld smaller, thinner items. Lately I have been making religious art from 8 lb. square cut concrete nails. This welder makes it easy. Recently I also made a heavy-duty nutcracker from 3/16" x 3/4" stock, 5/16" rod, and 5/8" x 5/8" bar stock. Normally I would think this welder to small for pieces this heavy, but I preheated some of the heavier welds with a home MAPP gas torch and got good welds with good penetration. A self-darkening hood is a good accessory for using this welder. I have had the welder about 9 months now and have run about 3 lbs. of 0.030 wire through it. I do not regret its purchase in any way. It is a very handy tool to have in my workshop. I like getting a factory reconditioned unit for less than the full retail price normally charged for this model. (Posted on 10/18/10)

I bought a 're-conditioned' welder assuming there would be some signs of wear, nothing, it looks like new. What a deal, a welder that looks and performs like new for half the price. I used it to build a welder cart so I can wheel it around. My first welds weren't great but got better as I practiced. Next, I'll be practicing on sheet metal , getting ready to repair the floorpan of my Jeep. Thansk ToolKing for a fantastic deal. (Posted on 11/13/10)

This item is used to make repairs to landscaping equipment that is used daily. This welder makes repairs easy with only one adjustment needing to be made between repair jobs. I have spoken with several professional welders who all agree that this item is a great buy. (Posted on 4/27/11)

This is the second reconditioned tool that I have ordered from ToolKing and have been more than impressed each time. The welder looked and operated like brand new. This welder has the easiest loading gun and spool tensioner. It is very easy to set up. I have stick welded in the past but never wire welded. That is why I chose this model, as it is a piece of cake to set up. Just dial in the thickness of the metal and it automatically set the wire speed and amperage. It has more than ample power for what I need. The Hobart flux core wire is top notch. It welds with very little spatter. You will not find a better deal on a 125 amp flux core welder.
