The Fein MultiMaster FMM 250Q Top features a new quick release blade mechanism which does not require the use of allen keys or bolts. The tool mounting is star shaped to prevent the blade from creeping when cutting. The variable speed head oscillates in an arc of 3.2-degrees at a rate of 14000-21000 movements per minute and the speed can be set to suit the task being performed. Benefiting from a larger motor than its predecessor, the new Fein Multimaster has a 250 Watts high torque motor which allows it to cut metals as well as wood.

great tool. doesn't cut nails as fast as video advertises but it does the job and the blades stay sharp. well worth the money. (Posted on 10/21/10)

I believe you get what you pay for and although this tool may be a bit pricey compared to similar products in the home improvement stores it works and handles very well! The Multimaster made easy work of cutting through door jams to include nails that I couldn’t see! Changing the cutting blades was easy and I didn’t have to fumble around with chucks or keys. I even used this tool to make some normally awkward cuts in drywall and this to worked very well.
The one negative comment that I have, is that the accessories to include blades are in my opinion too pricey!

Changing blades are quick and easy, cuts through wood, nails, grounds out grout, scrapes horrible plastered walls down to drywall, vacuum attaches easily and works great- AMAZING tool.
By the way i am a 105 pound female- so ease of use i cannot stress, weight is wonderfully light compared to any other tool i've tried. LOVE this tool, well worth the money! (Posted on 2/8/11)

I would have liked the "premium" kit to come with extra blades. If you are a contractor or someone who uses the flush-edging blade a lot, you should probably order a couple of extras; kit ships with only one of everything, and I have not found a hardware store near me that carries any replacement blades besides Dremel, which do not fit the Fein MM. I have not found a practical use for the grinder attachments yet. Might be a better value to get the smaller kit and just get extra cutting blades. (Posted on 10/30/10)
