DeWalt boosted the power with a 15 Amp motor that produces 2200 maximum watts out at 5800 RPM. The shoe is made from an innovative composite that is designed to withstand an 8 ft. drop. In addition, the main and auxiliary handles are ergonomically designed, giving the saw a comfortable feel, as if its an extension of the users arm. The saws 56° beveling capacity allows users to easily cut extreme angles for any given application. For added convenience, stops have been added at 22.5° and 45°. The lower guard is designed specifically to improve performance when making bevel cuts or cutting thinner woods such as shims.
