The DeWalt D51844 has a dry fire lockout that prevents the tool to fire when the magazine is down to 2 nails, thus indicating the need to reload the magazine. The unique internal valve design of this tool generates enough power to drive 3-1/2 inch nails, in standard framing lumber and engineered lumber with minimum recoil. This round head nailer is equipped with a hassle-free quick-release mechanism which releases jammed nails from the round head within seconds.
