The DeWalt DW715R Factory Reconditioned DW715 Heavy-Duty 12-Inch Single-Bevel Compound Miter Saw is powered by a 15-amp motor and comes equipped with a 12-inch carbide tipped blade. The DW715R incorporates an adjustable stainless steel miter detent plate with 11 positive stops to make the most common miter cuts quick and easy to repeat. The Dewalt DW715R also features a miter detent override which allows the user to override the miter stops and adjust to the miter setting desired without the saw slipping into the miter detents while the new precise miter system delivers more repeatable and accurate miter angles. The cam lock miter handle of the DW715R eliminates the need to twist the miter handle to lock in on the miter angle and delivers a quick and solid miter lock.

I have owned a DeWalt DW705 for at least 15 years and it has never given me a problem. 5 decks, 2 kitchen remodels, 8 bathroom remodels, 2 sheds and many other projects with nothing other than blade changes. Having such tremendous performance from my DeWalt I purchased this DW715 for a high school drama department for set construction. It is being used by trained male and female high school students and is an integral part of every set they build. So far it is a perfect machine for them, powerful, reliable and safe if you use it as it was designed to be used. I anticipate a decade or 2 of service from this DW715. With a full warranty you can’t go wrong. (Posted on 11/12/10)

This was my first major power tool purchase. I did a lot of research online and most people agree that this is a very excellent saw for the money. I went with the 12-inch blade over the 10-inch so I could cut a wider board and I am glad I did. In fact I can cut a board up to 16 inches wide by cutting one side and flipping it over to cut the other. I opted to do this rather than spend the extra $200 on a sliding miter saw.
The saw was perfectly aligned right out of the box. Miter and bevel adjustments are super easy to make and the set stops are accurate. The dust bag catches some of the mess but it still throws sawdust everywhere. I expected that so it doesn't bother me too much.
I'm a 115 lb female and this saw is easy enough for me to move around on the workbench and I have had no trouble using it. I built a headboard for my king-size bed in an afternoon and I was extremely pleased with how easy it was.
Overall this saw feels professional and makes wonderfully accurate cuts. I bought it refurbished but I'd never be able to tell. It looks and works perfectly. (Posted on 8/31/10)

This saw is built for years of work. I can't wait until it's 10 years old and counting - it's built that well. Solid product. (Posted on 11/10/11)

This has been a great little saw for us over the years. We have used and abused this saw for many years and finally had to purchase a new one. We plan on abusing this one for many years to come... (Posted on 1/3/12)
