The steel bed lathe has industry proven high and low acceleration/deceleration variable frequency. Its large 12 inch ductile iron tool rest and base move easily on ground bed ways for maximum tool placement and versatility. It features steel bed design which is 20 times torsionally stiffer than typical cast-iron bed designs. Variable frequency drive controls are located close to workzone for convenient operation. 4 inch hard-wood or steel spacers can be added to adjust height.
