The Delta 37-361 DJ-30 Jointer is powered by a 3 HP, Single phase induction motor. The jointer easily joints stock up to 12 inch wide and can remove a maximum of 3/4 inch material in one pass at narrower widths. The massive cast iron bed gives the unit stability and is ribbed to maintain trueness. A built-in rabbeting ledge allows cutting 3/4 inch deep rabbets. At the critical area where the table meets the cutterhead, there are replaceable, serrated lips to reduce noise. Also, the infeed table moves on a parallelogram support system, which allows the table edge to follow the same arc as the cutterhead, so there is less of a gap for safer and more efficient cutting. A convenient lever control is used for adjusting the infeed table quickly and easily. The center mounted, cast iron fence tilts in and out to 45° with positive stops at 45° and 90°. A rack and pinion system allows smooth, precise back and forth adjustment of the fence. The stalk mounted on/off switch is within easy reach for convenience and quick shut downs.
