The Delta 28-206 is a industrial 14 inch band saw with an enclosed stand and 1 HP, 120/240V motor. It has a computer balanced 9-spoke wheel design versus a competitive 6-spoke design. It's lower blade guard support is located only 3/4 inch below the table surface versus a full 2 inch on competitive models. The cast-iron trunnion assembly is built for long-term heavy-duty use unlike the aluminum designs found on "lightweight" models. The 1 HP induction motor provides cool, quiet power and the large 16 inch x 16 inch table provides plenty of support of material.
