Equipped with a 1.5HP two-speed motor, the new Delta X5 31-260X Drum Sander is capable of 2,210 or 3,300 surface feet per minute (SFPM) with both 5-80 or 4-120 grit sanding wraps included. An outboard shaft, designed to accommodate accessory pneumatic drums for contoured sanding, pairs with the 31-260Xs rigid C-framed head for superior parallelism and stability. Front mounted motor control and thickness gauges, along with a larger hand wheel, have been redesigned for easier adjustments and less downtime during use.In addition, the 31-260X is designed with an enclosed cabinet base for dampening vibrations and smoother sanding. The enclosed base protects the motor from fine dust and impact and includes user installed storage shelving space for additional sand wraps. For dust and debris collection, the 31-260X features a four-inch dust collection port with locking seals for removal of harmful materials. The 31-260X unit can be integrated with the full line of Delta dust collection units for unsurpassed filtration and healthier working environments.
