The SawStop DBC8001 is a Dado Replacement Brake Cartridge for first-generation SawStop saws. The cartridge consists of a spring, fuse wire and brake pawl. The DBC8001 stops the blade, retracts the blade below the table surface in 1/200th (3-5 miliseconds) of a second, and shuts down the power for increased safety.
